According to CoinMeta, Anthropic has once again received death threats. The San Francisco police were alerted via 911 when a user threatened the company, claiming to carry a AR-15 rifle and to go to the offices of 500 Howard St, intending to harm the employees working there. The police subsequently intervened, but the identity of the person who made the call has not been made public, and there are no updates on subsequent actions taken. This is not the first time in recent months that Anthropic has received violent threats. The Wall Street Journal previously reported that in April, someone broke into the company's headquarters lobby, claiming that a senior executive "would be killed." In the same month, another person threatened the families of employees, and in June, someone threatened to bring a pistol to the company over a refund issue.
