According to CoinMeta, as reported by The Block, White House cryptocurrency advisor Patrick Witt stated at a meeting in Salt in Wyoming on Tuesday that he is optimistic about the final legislation of the CLARITY bill. Senate Majority Leader Schumer has scheduled a procedural vote on the bill for September 15 (UTC +8), and Witt indicated that consultations with Democrats on areas of disagreement will take place at that time. Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Scott pointed out that disputes over stablecoin earnings have resurfaced, necessitating further negotiations. Democrats are putting pressure regarding conflicts of interest concerning U.S. President Trump's holdings of crypto assets and are demanding the inclusion of stronger ethical provisions. Trump is evaluating the ethical proposal put forward by Senators Gallego and Tillis, which includes provisions authorizing state attorneys general to enforce regulations. Senator Lummis stated that Trump's final decision is still unknown.
