According to CoinMeta, Bybit released its risk and security report for the first half of 2026 today. The report indicates that following a security incident in February 2025, Bybit comprehensively upgraded its security architecture to transition to a new defense model that enables earlier detection, faster response, and continuous adaptation. Key points of the report include: over 30,000 suspicious withdrawals were intercepted in the first half of the year, protecting nearly 20,000 users from potential losses of over $700 million, with an average initial review time of only 4.7 minutes (95% completed within 10 minutes). In addition, Bybit achieved 100% on-chain monitoring, covering all business-related on-chain activities. The platform handled 10 security incidents involving token projects without any losses, identified approximately $212 million in potential fraudulent on-chain funds, and blocked over 10,000 malicious addresses. Bybit, the head of risk control and security for the group, David Zong, stated that leveraging AI to strengthen risk control capabilities and ensuring the security of the AI system itself is a top priority, but key security decisions are still based on human judgment.
