According to CoinMeta, bitcoin.com has collaborated with Universal Digital Intl and Limited to integrate the UAE-regulated USDU stablecoin into their self-hosted wallets. Users can access this stablecoin, which is pegged to the US dollar, through these wallets and enjoy monthly reserve audits. USDU is supported as a token on Ethereum by ERC-20; users can hold, send, and receive it while maintaining control of their private keys. This integration will bring USDU into wallets used by millions of users worldwide, and there are plans to implement payment functionality between users and merchants. USDU is issued by Universal Digital Intl and Limited and is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. Each USDU is backed 1:1 by liquid US dollar reserves held by UAE-regulated banks, with independent monthly audits of these reserves conducted by third-party accounting firms. The CEO of bitcoin.com, Corbin Fraser, stated that users can verify the support for the stablecoin without relying on brand identifiers.
