According to CoinMeta, Telegram founder Pavel Durov stated that Telegram has applied for a gram top-level domain name, with the aim of providing its over 1 billion users with personal website addresses related to their Telegram usernames. The application was submitted during the ICANN 2026 extension round, which is the first new generic top-level domain window since 2012. If approved, users will be able to link their existing usernames to websites hosted by Telegram. Durov also mentioned that users can generate interactive pages with a single AI prompt, extending their Telegram usernames into online identities. Currently, the trading price of GRAM is around $1.32, with a market value of about $3.65 billion, which is significantly lower than the peak of $8.25 in June 2024.
