Canadian central bank rebounds to new highs due to Trump's tariffs suspension

According to CoinMeta, three days after Trump announced a suspension of tariffs on Canada, the Canadian dollar (CAD) rebounded to new highs. Previously, the CAD performed poorly as the tariff deadline approached, with markets fearing that 50% tariffs would be implemented. Trump stated that an agreement had been reached between the US and Canada, pending final confirmation of the relevant documents. Subsequently, the US Treasury Department announced an increase in liquidity support for repurchase operations of long-term securities, which led to a further rise in the CAD. Recently, the CAD broke through the key support level of 1.3920, opening up room to move towards the 1.3750 support level. Currently, the US-Iran conflict remains the main risk, and passive easing of financial conditions may have a negative impact on the US dollar, continuing to support the CAD's upward trend.
