According to CoinMeta, Parallel Web Systems has announced that its search for MCP servers is now freely available without the need to register an account or provide a API key. Any MCP compatible client can connect and use it directly. The free version provides two core capabilities: `web_search`, which performs real-time web page searches and returns optimized summaries, and `web-fetch`, which converts any URL into a clean format. The evaluation institution Artificial Analysis released Search Index to score the search API used by Agent. Parallel Advanced scored first with 75 points, followed by Exa Auto with 74 points, and Firecrawl with 73 points. The evaluation used GPT-5.6 and the same Harness framework to test deep retrieval and knowledge Q&A. The search cost of Parallel Advanced is higher than that of Basic, but the average token usage of the model decreased from about 339,000 to 169,000, and the total cost per question dropped from $0.11 to $0.084.
