Robinhood CEO: Promoting Tokenized Stocks in the United States
2026-08-20 06:13:26
According to CoinMeta, Vlad Tenev, the CEO of Robinhood, stated on August 18 that tokenization has the potential to reshape financial infrastructure, enabling faster settlements, continuous trading, and asset portability. He pointed out that Robinhood has already offered stock tokens in regions outside of the United States, and U.S. regulators are also moving towards clearer guidelines for blockchain securities processing in 2026. Tenev believes that the tokenization market can support real-time settlements and 24/7 trading, while reducing risks associated with settlement delays. Robinhood plans to launch tokenization services in October 2026, which will cover selected assets while retaining traditional ownership rights.
