Anthropic Plans to Change Data Retention Policy, Allowing Enterprises to Store Data on Their Own
2026-08-21 02:29:05
According to CoinMeta, Anthropic plans to change its data retention policy, allowing corporate customers to have more control over their own data when using its most powerful artificial intelligence models. This will represent a significant shift from the company's previous data retention policy, with the aim of reducing the risks associated with potential cyberattacks. Sources familiar with the matter revealed that Anthropic is expected to launch a new security system later this year. This system will still require corporate customers to retain data for 30 days, but customers will have the option to store their data on their own cloud computing infrastructure rather than on Anthropic's infrastructure. The source stated that this system has been in development for several months.
