According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Bloomberg, the U.S. Department of Justice is investigating the business activities of billionaire Mark Walter, and has requested Egan-Jones to provide relevant records. The insurance company of Walter often relies on Egan-Jones when investing in bonds, and the latter provides the only known rating for more than one-fifth of those assets.
