Arbitrum Activates ARBOS 61 " Elara " Upgrade, Adds Protocol-Level Transaction Filtering Feature
2026-08-21 08:30:26
According to CoinMeta, after the governance process for Arbitrum is completed, ARBOS will be upgraded to version 61. This upgrade will add optional protocol-level transaction filtering, priority fee support, and alternative data availability interfaces to the dedicated chain. Additionally, the maximum contract code size limit for Stylus will be increased from 24 KB to 96 KB. Compliance filtering is disabled by default, and the owner of the dedicated chain can choose a compliance service provider to enable it if desired. The priority fee feature for Arbitrum One and Nova has not yet been enabled and still requires a separate DAO vote to activate. The base fee management range has been adjusted to between 0.01 and 0.10 gwei.
