According to CoinMeta, data from the Ministry of Commerce shows that from January to July 2026, a total of 37,711 new foreign-invested enterprises were established nationwide, representing a year-on-year increase of 4.4%. The actual amount of foreign capital utilized was 438.33 billion yuan, which is a year-on-year decrease of 6.2%. By industry, the manufacturing sector utilized 109.43 billion yuan in foreign capital, while the service industry utilized 319.95 billion yuan. High-tech industries utilized 182.31 billion yuan in foreign capital, a year-on-year increase of 32.7%, accounting for 41.6% of the total foreign capital used nationwide, an increase of 12.2 percentage points compared to the same period last year. Among these, research and development and design services, technology transfer services, and the manufacturing of electronic and communication equipment saw year-on-year increases in foreign capital utilization of 72.1%, 62.2%, and 39.9%, respectively. In terms of source countries, Saudi Arabia, France, and South Korea saw year-on-year increases in investment in China of 343.7%, 36.1%, and 15.8%, respectively.
