According to CoinMeta, the Sandbox team has confirmed that they have encountered a major security vulnerability. Attackers minted 4.9 billion uncollateralized $SAND, which has affected the liquidity of the coin on BSC and Base. The team has isolated the liquidity on BSC and Base and disabled the bridging function between these two networks. Sandbox is preparing a compensation plan for the affected liquidity providers and urges users to avoid interacting with SAND on BSC and Base until further notice.
