According to CoinMeta, as reported by Yahoo Finance, Bitcoin and gold rebounded in just a few days, driven by fluctuations in the bond market and activities in Washington. Bitcoin fell from a high of around $95,000 in January to below $60,000 at the end of June, but rebounded to over $77,000 on Friday. Gold reached as high as $5,300 in January but dropped to around $4,000 in June, before rising back to $4,661 on Friday. On Wednesday, the U.S. Treasury Department announced a significant increase in the repurchase of long-term government bonds, which led to a rapid market reaction, a depreciation of the dollar, and investors turning to alternative assets. Trump's call for Congress to quickly pass crypto-friendly legislation further fueled the rise in Bitcoin.
