The total amount of UNI tokens destroyed this time is the second-largest on a single day, while the dollar value has set a new record. The destruction mechanism of Uniswap is different from traditional corporate buybacks; the protocol fees are transferred onto the chain through a fee adapter TokenJar, and a dedicated smart contract determines how these assets are disposed of.
