Institution: Uncertain prospects for peace in the Middle East, inflation-linked bonds still hold advantages

According to CoinMeta, RBC, the head of fixed income at BlueBay Asset Management, Mark Dowding, stated that despite the still uncertain prospects for a peace agreement in the Middle East, the firm continues to be optimistic about the performance of inflation-linked bonds and inflation swaps. According to LSEG data, the money market has now fully factored in the expectation of the Federal Reserve's 25-basis-point interest rate hike in December. Dowding also noted: "In terms of the Middle East, hopes for reaching a peace agreement continue to diminish, and it seems we will be in a gray area for a considerable period of time. Trade volume through the Strait of Hormuz is still only a fraction of what it was before the war broke out."
