Strive CEO: The next cycle for Bitcoin could be the strongest cycle yet
2026-08-24 14:48:24
According to CoinMeta, Strive CEO Matt Cole indicates that Bitcoin's next cycle could be the strongest of its history. In the past week, Bitcoin has seen a record weekly increase in value measured in US dollars, rising by $14,264 to close at $77,387, representing a gain of about 22.7% over the past seven days. This upward trend has accelerated following the US Treasury Department's expansion of its government bond repurchase program, and spot Bitcoin ETF also recorded the largest weekly inflow since October 2025. Cole believes that Bitcoin's recent performance relative to the US dollar and gold strengthens his view that cryptocurrencies are entering a new cycle, which will be supported by unprecedented macroeconomic conditions. Cole also points out that a weaker US dollar and demand for scarce assets will drive more funds towards scarce monetary assets such as Bitcoin.
