According to CoinMeta, Australia will establish national uniform standards for electricity and water usage in data centers through legislation. The government hopes to use technological development to drive economic growth while avoiding social backlash as a result. Australian Prime Minister Albanese will announce the proposed requirements at a meeting with leaders of the states and territories on Wednesday. This center-left government also plans to set minimum standards for copyright, security, and safety in the training of artificial intelligence models.
