According to CoinMeta, the Trump administration in the United States announced a proposed regulation on Monday that would impose a fee of over $103,000 on H-1B visas for highly skilled foreign workers. This fee was first proposed by Trump last year but has been blocked by courts ever since. In June this year, a federal judge in the U.S. ruled that this fee was illegal and prevented the Trump administration from collecting it. The proposed fee of $103,265, put forward by the Department of Homeland Security, was published in the Federal Register on Monday and will be officially released on Tuesday, along with the initiation of a 30-day public comment period. The regulation is expected to be finalized before the end of the year.
