According to CoinMeta, Stand With Crypto, a cryptocurrency advocacy organization under Coinbase, announced that it has officially supported 32 candidates for the House of Representatives, including Republican Representatives Tom Emmer and Bill Huizenga, as well as Democratic Representatives Ritchie Torres and Josh Gottheimer and other supporters of the crypto industry. The organization stated that it will announce its list of supported candidates for the Senate as the mid-term elections in the United States approach. This move comes as the U.S. Senate prepares to return to Washington next month to conduct the first vote on the Clarity Act (Cryptocurrency Market Structure Act). The bill aims to further clarify the regulatory framework for digital assets and delineate the responsibilities of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) in the supervision of the crypto market.
