Second draft of the revised China Banking Regulatory Law submitted for deliberation

According to CoinMeta, the second draft revision of China's "Banking Supervision and Administration Law" was submitted to the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress for deliberation on August 25th. The second draft includes prohibitive provisions against bank institutions and employees from misappropriating customer funds, forced bundling or cross-selling products that exceed customers' risk tolerance, and improper debt collection practices. It also reorganizes Chapter 4 into sections on supervision and management measures and risk disposal, clarifies the responsibilities for risk disposal between central and local banks, expands the authority for risk disposal, and stipulates the manner in which the Deposit Insurance Fund Management Institution will participate in risk disposal.
