Chainalysis: Operation Lighthouse Combats Child Sexual Abuse in the Cryptocurrency Sector

According to CoinMeta, Wu said that on August 25th, Chainalysis disclosed that it had recently organized Operation Lighthouse, an encrypted intelligence operation involving law enforcement agencies, the private sector, and non-profit organizations, aimed at combating activities related to child sexual abuse materials ( CSAM) that utilize cryptocurrencies. The operation investigated 29,120 cryptocurrency addresses and digital identifiers, involving over 100 related platforms, forums, and distribution networks, generated 14,300 investigation leads, and identified more than 7,700 suspicious accounts across 11 cryptocurrency exchanges and payment service providers. Suspects were found in 125 countries. More than 9 law enforcement agencies and over 13 private sector partners participated in this operation.
