Fidelity: The AI intelligent entity may become a new type of participant in the financial market
2026-08-25 21:36:53
According to CoinMeta, a latest study by Fidelity indicates that AI intelligents are shifting from assisting in financial tasks to directly participating in financial markets. In the future, they may autonomously execute transactions, arrange loans, manage portfolios, and process payments with limited human intervention. The study suggests that transactions, lending, and asset management are likely to be the first areas affected. Although payments involve a large volume of transactions, they have lower profit margins and may not bring the same economic value to infrastructure providers. The study also warns that the increase in transaction activity brought about by AI does not necessarily mean that all financial platforms will gain sustained value. As AI intelligents are able to autonomously find lower costs and better execution across different platforms, those with deep liquidity, reliable data, clearing capabilities, and user networks are likely to have a competitive advantage.
