According to CoinMeta, SoftBank Group is in talks with investment banks to issue bonds worth $10 billion to $20 billion in order to raise funds to support its investment in OpenAI. The bonds may be denominated in US dollars and euros, with the issuance potentially starting as early as September. The specific scale and terms are still under negotiation. Part of the funds raised from the issuance will be used to repay the $40 billion bridge loan that SoftBank obtained earlier this year for its investment in OpenAI. SoftBank plans to invest nearly $65 billion in OpenAI before October.
