According to CoinMeta, two US bondholders of Aston Martin have applied to a New York court for authorization to collect evidence in support of a British legal lawsuit regarding the debt restructuring of this automobile manufacturer. According to Bloomberg, Arini Capital Management and Tresidor Investment Management have filed applications with the Southern District Court of New York, requesting the court to compel HPS, an investment partner of BlackRock, as well as advisors Moelis and Co & Lazard, to provide documents and testify. The focus of the dispute is an arrangement between Aston Martin and HPS and Authentic Brands, which raised 450 million pounds in debt. Bondholders claim that this arrangement has put existing creditors in a worse position. In July, Aston Martin stated that it had obtained a loan of up to 550 million pounds from an investor group led by HPS. This transaction transferred some of the most valuable assets out of the control of existing creditors and put pressure on the price of its bonds.
