According to CoinMeta, as reported by Forbes, the “Physical AI Preparation Index” released by OpenMind shows that if Chinese suppliers are not used, the manufacturing cost of humanoid robots in the United States would rise from $46,000 to $131,000. The report ranks China first among 58 countries, with Japan and the United States in second and third place, respectively. The U.S. leads in terms of computing power and talent, but its score of 48.5 in materials and supply chain is lower than China’s 95; key components such as rare earth permanent magnets are a bottleneck. The U.S.’s restrictions on foreign manufacturing of advanced robots increase costs for domestic manufacturers and slow down the deployment of robots.
