According to CoinMeta, developers of the core Lightning Network warn users that due to the discovery of a serious vulnerability, it is recommended that users upgrade to the upcoming version or temporarily take their nodes offline. The project has received multiple vulnerability reports generated by AI in the past 10 days, and the developers are verifying these reports. The project initially planned to release a fix patch within a few days, but its repair strategy later changed. The team stated that they would keep the vulnerability information confidential for two weeks while providing signed binary files containing the fix. Developer Calle pointed out that users should not rely on screenshots from Discord to be informed of emergency situations, but should instead receive official announcements. The project subsequently issued a formal warning to operators, and the specific nature and severity of the vulnerability have not yet been disclosed.
