GoPlusSecurity: The Realio platform was attacked, with $127.9 million in funds stolen

According to CoinMeta, GoPlusSecurity reports that the Realio platform was attacked on August 25th. The attackers took control of the platform's signature keys and stole funds across 5 chains, resulting in a loss of approximately $127.9 million (about 6.2 million US dollars). So far, the attackers have cashed out about $317,000. The root cause of the issue lies in the fact that the platform's signature keys were compromised. The Realio platform was running a hot wallet for its financial, reserve, and user-managed sub-accounts. Once this capability fell into the hands of the attackers, they were able to directly sign transactions on Ethereum, as well as on the BNB, Algorand, Stellar, and Realio chains, without the need for user approval, re-keying, or contract vulnerabilities. Economically speaking, this set of keys functioned merely as a cluster of hot wallets.
