Analyst: Bitcoin's rebound faces resistance at $81,000-$86,000

According to CoinMeta, Bitcoin's rebound is approaching a dense supply range of $81,000-$86,000, where demand may be tested due to the break-even points of holders, options hedging, and selling pressure. Analysts point out that this price range could determine whether Bitcoin will be able to challenge the highs seen at the beginning of 2026. On Thursday, Bitcoin traded near $80,000, and this rebound accelerated after the U.S. Treasury Department expanded its long-term bond repurchases. According to Glassnode, the current pressure point is at $80,800, and long-term holders may be more willing to sell when their positions return to breakeven after months of losses. Options positioning also adds another obstacle; Glassnode estimates that traders' hedging dynamics begin to shift around $82,300, which could create additional selling pressure as Bitcoin rises.
