According to CoinMeta, a theft occurred at a museum in the medieval Spanish town of Villena, where a batch of precious artifacts with a history of 3,000 years were stolen in just a few minutes. These artifacts included bracelets, bowls, bottles, and other objects mainly made of gold. Discovered in 1963, they date back to around 1000 BC during the Bronze Age. The mayor of Villena, Fulgencio Seldán, stated that the gold contained in these artifacts could be worth up to 1.7 million euros (approximately 2 million US dollars), but their historical value is immeasurable. The Spanish National Guard is investigating this theft that took place in the early hours of Thursday, and it is believed to have been carried out by professional thieves.
