Exchanges face selling out due to a 27% increase in Ethereum prices
2026-08-28 01:27:20
According to CoinMeta, as the price of Ethereum rose by about 27% to $2,528 since August 16, the reserves of Ethereum on exchanges have rapidly decreased. Analysts pointed out that despite the price increase, holders of ETH have been withdrawing assets from exchanges in large quantities, which completely goes against traditional market logic. Since June, Ethereum reserves have dropped from 7.69 million to 6.28 million, hitting a new historical low of 18%. In contrast, Bitcoin's exchange reserves increased by 0.25% during the same period. Ethereum investors aim to transfer their tokens directly into staking protocols, and currently, more than 35% of ETH on the network have been staked.
