According to CoinMeta, members of the Abu Dhabi royal family, the UAE's National Security Advisor Tahnoon, bin, and Zayed Al Nahyan, along with co-investors, hold 49% of the shares in World Liberty Financial, a new banking business holding company WLT Holdings, making them the largest shareholders. The Trump family-related entity holds approximately 38% of the shares. The US Federal Reserve (OCC) has preliminarily conditionally approved World Liberty to establish a national trust bank this month, which will be used for issuing, redeeming, and managing its stablecoin USD1. Last year, Tahnoon also invested $500 million through another entity in World Liberty and acquired 49% of the equity, of which about $263 million flowed to Trump family-related entities.
