According to CoinMeta, Vietnamese President Su Lin urged Qualcomm and Samsung to increase their investments in artificial intelligence, semiconductors, and research and development at a meeting in Hanoi. According to a statement from the Vietnamese government, Qualcomm aims to develop its business in Vietnam into the third-largest global center for artificial intelligence research and development. Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc also expressed his hope that Samsung will continue to be an important partner in enhancing the country's technological capabilities. Since starting production 17 years ago, Samsung's mobile manufacturing operations in Vietnam have accumulated exports of $500 billion, and to date, Samsung has invested $24 billion in Vietnam.
