According to CoinMeta, a Reuters survey indicates that driven by the surge in global demand for artificial intelligence chips, South Korea's exports in August are likely to continue to grow strongly, with an expected year-on-year increase of 62.6%, largely building on the significant growth of 63% seen in July. Analysts say that Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, the two major storage chip giants, continue to be the main pillars of export growth. Park Sang - hyun, investment securities economists, stated that exports of information technology products, especially semiconductors, are expected to maintain a high growth rate. Although the strong performance of the global manufacturing sector will continue to support this upward trend led by semiconductors, the year-on-year growth rate of exports is expected to gradually slow down due to the base effect.
