According to CoinMeta, Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Zayed Al Nahyan of Abu Dhabi and his co-investors reportedly control 49% of the shares in World Free Bank Holdings, which is part of World Free Finance Corporation. As reported by The Wall Street Journal on August 27th, Tahnoon’s team is the backing force behind Stringz Holding RSC, a company that owns 49% of the shares in World Free Trust. Entities related to U.S. President Donald Trump’s family hold another 38% of the shares. This report on control rights was released two weeks after the Federal Reserve Board of Governors granted preliminary conditional approval to World Free Trust on August 14th to operate as a national trust bank. The application also allows the trust to serve institutional clients.
