According to CoinMeta, as reported by Lookonchain, Metaplanet has transferred 1,350 bitcoins to Coinbase Prime, which is approximately equivalent to $108 million at current prices. This transfer occurred as the price of bitcoin was trying to break through $80,000. An analytical account on the chain confirmed that the sending address belonged to a bitcoin treasury company listed in Tokyo. Although market participants are skeptical about whether Metaplanet will sell some of its holdings, the transaction itself does not prove a sale has taken place, as Coinbase Prime still holds those bitcoins. Metaplanet did not announce any sale or reduction of its official bitcoin balance at the time of the report. This transfer came three days after Metaplanet sent 1,000 bitcoins to the same platform three days prior, which were valued at around $79.77 million at that time. According to the report, Metaplanet has transferred 2,350 bitcoins to Coinbase Prime within four days, with the total value of both transfers approaching $188 million.
