2026-08-28 23:40:58
According to CoinMeta, the first on-chain vote regarding token economy reform by Solana ( SOL ) has entered its final stage. Under pressure from the retail community, the American crypto exchange Kraken has completely changed its voting stance to support the deflationary proposal. This proposal raises the inflation rate from 15% to 30% and is expected to reduce the issuance of SOL by 18.9 million tokens (worth approximately $1.5 billion) by 2029. Currently, the voting rate in favor of this proposal is 65.15%, but it has not yet reached the 66.67% threshold required for passage. Meanwhile, the related SGP-0003 proposal has officially failed. Even if supporters win on SGP-0002, the token economy reform of Solana will not take effect immediately; it will require at least 4.5 months of technical upgrade coordination to activate.
