In April of this year, the entire territory of Karakalpakstan was designated as a special mining zone Besqala Mining Valley. According to Uzbekistan's regulations, cryptocurrency mining is only permitted to be conducted by legal entities, and they must use electricity from the national grid, for which they are required to pay twice the regular electricity price.
