SpaceX IPO vs Nvidia: Maximum listing does not necessarily bring maximum returns

According to CoinMeta, SpaceX completed the largest IPO in U.S. history in June, raising 85.7 billion dollars. However, post-listing performance has shown that the scale of funds raised does not guarantee the best returns. IPO was priced at $135 per share, and its stock price once rose to $225.64, a 67% increase, but by August 28th it closed at $141.50, representing a gain of less than 5% from its IPO price. In contrast, Walmart issued 300,000 shares in 1970 at $16.50 per share, and after several stock splits, an investment of $1,000 would now have yielded a return of about $38.4 million. Nvidia went public in 1999 at $12 per share, and an investment of $1,000 would now have resulted in a return of about $8.7 million. Nvidia's latest financial report shows that quarterly revenue reached $96.2 billion, a year-on-year increase of 106%. For investors in SpaceX, future returns will depend on revenue growth, profit margins, and execution, rather than the scale of IPO.
