Zcash Developer Zakura Launches “Common”, ZEC Price Rises by 5%

According to CoinMeta, Zakura, the developer of Zcash, has released the “Common” encryption library. As a result, the price of ZEC has increased by 5%, currently standing at $838.60. This library is designed to improve the speed of Zcash; Zakura states that the proof-of-work generation speed on mobile devices has increased by more than 14 times, and on desktop devices by more than 5 times. This release does not require any network upgrades for Zcash and is now available for use. Zcash, one of the co-founders, stated that this release brings a significant performance improvement to the network.
