According to CoinMeta, Anthropic plans to allow existing shareholders to sell some of their shares during IPO, and considers setting a lock-up period that is longer than usual. This approach distinguishes Anthropic from SpaceX and Cerebras during which shareholders were not allowed to sell shares, and is similar to the IPO strategy of CoreWeave and Figma. The private placement valuation of Anthropic reached $965 billion in May this year, while the valuation discussed by investment banks for IPO is approximately $1.5 trillion.
