According to CoinMeta, citing data from payment provider Paymentscan, the cumulative consumption of stablecoin cards has exceeded $10.9 billion. In July 2026, card consumption surpassed $1 billion, making it the largest month in their tracking dataset. Three years ago, the industry processed about $60,000 per month. Stablecoin cards allow customers to use assets such as USDC or USDT as payment collateral, and providers convert these stablecoins into the local currency of merchants, enabling transactions to utilize existing Visa or Mastercard infrastructure. Data from Paymentscan shows that consumption in July was approximately $1.04 billion, tripling from $339.4 million a year earlier. On-chain data from A16z indicates that transaction volume in July was close to $759 million, with nearly 9 million purchases recorded. Redotpay predicts that the industry will process another $10 billion within eight months and expects that by 2028, annual consumption of stablecoin cards will reach $50 billion.
