According to CoinMeta, Google announced on Saturday that it had begun to adjust the display names of Lake Ontario on its mapping services following U.S. President Donald Trump's signing of an executive order amid the U.S.-Canada trade dispute. Trump signed the executive order last week, renaming the lake, which is located between Ontario, Canada, and New York State, USA, as "Lake America." Google stated that U.S. users will see "Lake America" on the maps, while Canadian users will still see "Lake Ontario." In regions outside of the United States and Canada, users will see both names on the maps, with "Lake America" appearing in parentheses.
