According to CoinMeta, the Zakura team has released an encryption and protocol library Zakura Common tailored for the Zcash ecosystem. The proof-of-work generation speed on mobile devices has increased by over 14 times, on desktop devices by over 5 times, the hashing speed by over 21 times, the trial decryption speed by over 1.5 times, and the verification speed by 4 to 8 times. The waiting time for wallet creation and transactions has been reduced from more than 3 seconds to within 200 milliseconds. This upgrade does not require a network upgrade and has adopted the MIT / Apache 2.0 dual-licensing open-source model. Zakura 1.3.0 will switch to this technology stack as well.
