According to CoinMeta, Goldman Sachs warns that the conflicts in the Middle East, as well as the wars between Moscow and Kiev, are causing tensions in the global refining market. The bank has also more than doubled its forecast for diesel production profits. Analysts, including Yulia Ziskova Grigbsy and Dan Struven, stated in a report that increased attacks on refineries in the Middle East and Russia have further restricted already tight global refining capacity, driving refined product profit margins to new highs. Diesel remains at the core of this upward trend. Analysts noted that current refinery shutdowns are 60% higher than the seasonal normal level, and despite some reduction in demand, refined product inventories are still declining. Goldman Sachs expects that next year, the profit per barrel of diesel refined in the United States relative to Brent crude will average $63, compared to $27 previously, and $49 in the European Union, up from previous forecasts of $19 and $27 respectively.
