According to CoinMeta, OpenAI is hoarding tens of thousands of Apple Mac mini and Mac Studio devices for use in reinforcement learning, while Anthropic leases Apple Mac mini devices from Amazon to execute AI tasks. On August 27th, Anthropic collaborated with Raspberry Pi to launch a model hardware standard. Currently, there is no information indicating that Anthropic or OpenAI is purchasing Raspberry Pi devices.
