According to CoinMeta, and based on reports from Iran's Tasnim News Agency and Turkey's Anadolu News Agency, on August 31 local time, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stated that Iran does not seek war, but will not stand idly by in the face of aggression and will respond resolutely. Raisi pointed out that instability in the Middle East region affects everyone and is not in the interest of any country. On the evening of August 30 local time, the U.S. military attacked Larak Island in southern Iran, reportedly causing casualties among members of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard and civilians. On August 31 local time, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard launched missile and drone attacks on U.S. targets in Jordan. The Iranian military also claimed to have fired dozens of drones at U.S. targets in the United Arab Emirates.
