According to CoinMeta, the price of Bitcoin rose by 24% in August 2026, achieving its best performance since 2017, with the trading price approaching $78,400 on August 31. Bitcoin rebounded from around $63,000 in mid-August and briefly broke through $80,000, but then lost momentum around that level. Although the final monthly return still depends on Bitcoin's closing price, current historical data indicates that August 2026's performance far exceeded that of any other August since the 2017 bull market. Bitcoin's return rate in the third quarter was close to 32%.
