According to CoinMeta, global oil prices rose today due to the ongoing US-Iran conflict, and Finance Minister Bentez stated that oil prices would eventually fall. The US Central Command confirmed that on Sunday, the United States launched strikes against Iranian targets on Larak Island, marking the first time since late July that the US has publicly acknowledged attacks on Iran. This conflict has led to restrictions on traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, which accounts for about 20% of global oil transportation. Despite the rising oil prices, Bentez said in an interview with CNBC that he did not understand why oil prices had climbed again and predicted that they would correct. Currently, the price of Brent crude oil is between $90.5 and $91.3 per barrel, up about 3% from the previous day.
