According to CoinMeta, U.S. President Donald Trump said in an interview at the White House on Monday local time: "Last night, many ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz, with an average of 30 ships passing each night, and a large amount of oil is flowing out of the Strait of Hormuz." When discussing how the situation might develop in the future, Trump stated, "We may take action against Iran; let's wait and see. I think the Iranians themselves don't even know who their leaders are; no one knows who Iran's leaders are. Iran is a failed state." Trump also talked about interest rates, saying, "Currently, interest rates are too high. I have great respect for Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell; he will do what he needs to do."
